Museum  Rules

Upon entering the museum, we want guests to know how to safely engage in the museum while feeling welcome. We should aim for guests to see the historic home as a place to protect and cherish as they engage in the stories shared within the museum.

Please inform our guests of these expectations:

  • Please help us protect our museum and only touch where permitted. This includes our interactive areas with signage, plastic chairs or stools, and the stairway handrails throughout the museum.

  • Please take photos but we ask that flash be turned off. No selfie-sticks, video capture, or large equipment.

  • Water containers and water bottles with caps are allowed and encouraged.

  • No drinks, food, gum, strollers, and large backpacks. These can be left with the museum store upon approval.

  • Service Animals that are approved by ADA are welcome and permitted and guest should have communicated this with staff at check-in.
