Volunteer Resources

Molly Brown Events Volunteers cover a wide array of duties to make the 50+ events throughout the year a success. Those duties may include:

• Set up and take down

• Portraying a historical person

• Checking in guests

• Serving drinks/tea

• Guiding guests through the house (but NOT giving tours)

• Leading activities within events

We ask our events volunteers to commit to assisting at a minimum of six events throughout the year, with large events like Victorian Horrors and the Brown's Happiest Christmas being two of those events.

Events volunteers will receive specific information about duties, clothing, etc. in the week(s) leading up to the event they're helping with since each event is slightly different and duties may vary. Those volunteers who want to specifically assist at food events that require working in our onsite kitchen must complete Kitchen Training in addition to new volunteer training.
